While we were driving home this evening, I couldn't help but think about how we spend our youth trying to be ourselves and to be our own person and quite often we try to be the opposite of what our parents are, but in the end, we look for a partner that can replace their care and nourishment to spend the rest of our lives with when we become too much of our own to need our real parents anymore.
It's just that idea of replacement. It breaks my heart. I can't explain it much better than that.
